A High Level of Reliability:
In addition to providing better protection against hotspots and excessive temperatures, half-cut cells can make modules more reliable.
Multi-busbar cells prevent stress from building up, making them capable of better performance even in the event of minor cracking.
The global PV industry is currently dominated by modules based on MBB technology.
Multi-busbar and half-cut cells combined with the highest power density are part of the single glass module. An application of such a module can reduce the number of power stations employed, thereby reducing costs associated with support, cables, construction, and land, and thus improving return on investment.
Multi Busbar Technology：
The application of multi-busbar cells results in more uniform loads to prevent stress, resulting in better performance even in case of slight cracking.
This Technology can shorten the current conduction distance by more than 50% and thus lower the internal ribbon resistance loss. With finer and narrower bus bars, more sunlight will be reflected back to the round ribbon, thus increasing energy efficiency.
Half-cut Cell Technology：
CORTEX Single Glass modules adopt half-cut cell technology (Splitting cells into halves by laser) generates lower current and reduce energy loss. With lower heat and lower working temperature, half-cut cells can increase the power generation. Since half-cut cells reduce internal loss, the working temperature of the module and the junction box declines.
With stronger resistance against hotspots and excessive temperature, half-cut cells can improve module reliability.
The Half-cut technology is reducing the probability of hotspots and the damage risk of the whole module.
The unique circuit design of half-cut cells can reduce power loss to 1/4 compared to full cells
